Open Groups

A new way of embracing music in Palma

Visit one of these Open Groups

This is how you can book your Open Group

Regular music lessons for children have a very narrow teaching path and groups are hard to fit into when your child has no experience.

All Open Groups are designed in a way that new participants can start anytime. Nobody needs to be afraid to "not be good enough".

The way of teaching and the music materials are inclusive and welcoming and the participants will learn to make music in such a way.

Why is this important?

These are some doubts that people have about joining a music group / music school / music classes:

  • "Will my child fit into the group and be welcomed by the others?"

  • "Are my musical skills good enough in comparison to the others?"

  • "The other participants are way ahead of me because they started earlier, right?"

  • "Music group means that you always have to study. I hope my child can deal with the pressure."

In our Open Music Groups we therefore keep the environment safe, playful, respectful and open. So you don't have to worry about any of these questions and can just enjoy music. :-)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have a trial lesson first?

Yes. Everybody who is interested in visiting the Open Groups is invited to visit one group for free. Just contact us here.

In which language will the lessons be held?

The main language is English. The teacher also speaks Spanish and of course we always try to communicate the best way possible to all of our children and parents. (We have participant from a lot of different countries.) If you have doubts about the language just contact us.

Where are the lessons?

All Open Groups are at the Anglican Church in Carrer Núñez de Balboa 6, Palma (Son Armadams).

What's the difference between "Basic" and "Flexi"?

The Basic plan resembles a very classical plan for your lessons. You sign up your child for 4 months. If you want to continue after that, you will need to sign up again.

With a Flexi plan you can cancel at the end of each month or pause your payment for a month (for example when you are on vacation).

How do I pay?

Payment is done though your booking here on our website. You can pay with your regular debit or credit card. Every month the money will then be transferred automatically until the contract is cancelled.

When can I cancel my lesson plan contract?

In the Basic plans you sign up your child for 4 months. After that time your contract ends automatically. So if you would like to continue after that you would need to sign up again.

With a Flexi plan your contract automatically continues every month. You have the possibility to cancel at the end of every payment month. For this option you will need to cancel yourself directly on our website by logging into your account.

Are the lessons all year?

Our lessons calendar pretty much follows the regular school calendar. For example on holidays and in summer and winter break there are no lessons. The full calendar you can see here.

When can I start?

You can start whenever you want! Our official enrolments always start at the beginning of each month (the 1st of the month). You are welcome to start in the middle of a month though and we just send you an invoice for the lessons taken.
